Potential Street Closures

Please drive with caution as water levels are on the rise in our area and may lead to road closures. Storm drains have been cleared, yet as heavy rains continue water levels are expected to rise. Be advised that currently Division @ 149 is closed to through traffic. We are monitoring: Cedar Hills @ Hall and culvert on 144 where water levels are very high.

Farmington Road Project

Where is the Farmington Road project at now? The first phase of the Farmington Project—the widening of the south side of Farmington including the installation of a new box culvert at Erickson Creek—has been completed. The second phase which includes the sewer line installation is nearing completion.

Private utilities are currently relocating their facilities on the north side of Farmington. After the relocation, work including curb, sidewalks and paving will occur.

The third phase includes widening the north side of Farmington Road. The final phase which includes improvements to the Farmington Road and Murray Boulevard intersection will occur mostly at night. The third and final phase are both being worked on currently. Construction is expected to be complete in May 2017.

  • Night work will continue until November 18 between 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, at the Farmington Road and Murray Boulevard intersection. Work includes installing upgraded sanitary sewer, storm drainage and water lines. Lane closures will vary. When lane closures occur flaggers will be present. One lane will be closed at a time—exact dates TBD. See Farmington and Murray Intersection Construction map.
  • Weekend Work: is scheduled for Nov. 11-13 at the intersection of Farmington Rd and Murray Blvd (weather permitting). The weekend work is estimated to take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and flaggers will be present. The outside lanes on westbound and eastbound Farmington will be closed. Vehicles and bicyclists are urged to use alternate routes such as TV Hwy and Allen Blvd. The weekend of Nov. 18-20, work will occur from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the inside lanes on westbound and eastbound Farmington will be closed, and left hand turns from westbound Farmington will be restricted.
